week 5; wednesday afternoon; locked to break and gilbert
[So Undyne's noticed that she hasn't seen a certain member of Team Pride around that much this week! She's not worried of course, but Break is clearly someone who despite being incredibly intelligent also Needs To Be Babysat. Plus his room is right next to hers, so it's no big deal to knock on his door after she's done dropping some stuff off in hers.
And by knock, she of course means kick the door in.]
'SUP, PUNK! Are you dying in there? Stop being a weird hermit and let's hang out!!

I agree. I wouldn't trust anything that this place could offer. But~. I'm also not a very trusting person, I'd admit!
[ Break closes his eye at this point, since it's not exactly like he needs to have it open anyways. That's just more for the comfort of other people at this point. ]
Understanding the motives isn't too important though, I guess. So long as there's temptation, then that's it. You can't eliminate temptation. Technically speaking, we should be eliminating the methods, but that's not something I feel that everyone would be excited for.

But the next day they were there again, good as new.

It's not like most of us even need anything from this town to kill someone. Short of tying everyone up all week in the same room... [She shrugs.] Maybe we should just dump different colored glitter over every person so they'll shed it if they try killing anyone. [Is she joking? It's kind of hard to tell.]
no subject
[ Though the fact that everything does regenerate that quickly is news to Break, though it gets him to laugh. It's bitter, though, since it's what should be expected. ]
Tying everyone up all week is a bit too far, most likely~. But at least getting rid of things when our murderers seem to strike could probably help? Who knows, really. [ He shrugs ] It's very frustrating to not be able to be more proactive, that much I'm certain of.

Even that "buddy system" isn't flawless, but I do think it's a good place to start. By this point, I'm sure everyone knows to be extra careful starting Thursday afternoons. Spending the night with as many other people as possible may end up saving a life.
[This is also why he's dragging Break into Thursday sleepovers from now on.]
no subject
It'll at least stop people from leaving their rooms past sundown on Murder Night! If we have to go through another trial wondering how the killer lured out the victim at way-too-late o'clock, I'm gonna start blocking everyone's doors shut with the biggest boulders I can find on Thursday myself. [Looking thoughtful.] Actually, you think that'll work...?
Anyway, if someone really wants to kill, they'll probably find a way to do it. As much as I'd like to protect everyone innocent here... [Well, she has her priorities.]
no subject
[ So, no. No, Undyne, don't put rocks in front of people's doors. Though speaking of, Break does glances Gilbert's way, since it'd be nice to have a third party to witness this, he figures. Just in case. ]
Ah, though...! Since we're talking about it, I think I'll invite Rhys as well, by the way. He probably doesn't have anyone else, right~?
no subject
Uh— Well, probably not. [Isn't it sad, Rhys?] But that's fine. The two of you can take the beds.
no subject
Yeah, if you two don't take pity on him, we'll probably wind up finding his body in a puddle of puke one of these weeks. [Just saying that super matter-of-factly because Rhys is clearly victim-type.] You could just share beds though, y'know! Sleeping on the floor can't be good for you, Gilbert. [BECAUSE HE'S A FRAIL WEENIE...]
Speaking of which...Break, did you have a dream about a weird girl Sunday night?
no subject
[ He turns to Gilbert, then waves a hand in his direction. ]
You and Rhys could share, right?
[ Because Break isn't sharing. Or more accurately, you wouldn't even want to share with Break because he would probably be the guy to just straight up deck you in his sleep. Because as it would happen, that's more or less what had occurred with dreams of Pride Mom. ]
...Ahh, so you did as well. [ Break sighs, then nods ] Yes, I did. As did Miss Alisha, actually, since I happened to ask her about it.
[ But he won't say any more than that without prompting. He's still not sure how to take it, for one, but his immediate reflex of trying to fuck her up was probably a bad one to admit to. ]
no subject
I don't mind sleeping on the chair. [He's not sharing a bed with Rhys... They're both beanpoles and Rhys has a robot arm, his jaw would probably somehow get broken during the night.
THAT SAID, he'll just lapse into silence at this part of the conversation, since Break's already shared but he's obviously not gonna deetspill. Instead he just waits to see what else Undyne will say. Was it the same lady? He's assuming "probably", based on what both Break and Alisha have said. rip team pride...]
no subject
Sounds like she visited everyone on our team, huh? [She leans forward eagerly.] And? Tell me you tried to punch her too!! [Undyne has no idea why this would be a bad thing to admit to when it's clearly the most logical step???]
no subject
It's not the logistics that are the problem, you know. None of us want to share a bed. Being in the same room is enough, but anything more than that is pushing someone's luck.
[ I mean of the three shady stooges here, none of them are exactly cuddle material... ]
...Oh? Well, something like that, yes. [ punching is very similar to decapitation duh ] Though it didn't turn out to be a good idea! I assume that feeling of whatever it was meant she wasn't pleased with the attempt.
no subject
Shooting Break a mild look at that, though.... But he shifts his attention to Undyne instead.]
That makes three then, right? The woman who appeared at Morrigan's execution, the one I saw, and the one your team saw. Has anyone else spoken about anything like that this week...?
no subject
From the way she was blabbing on and on about not letting our team down, not attacking her would have been an even worse idea! Does she want us to prove we have pride or not?! [She also turns to Gilbert and gestures her hand so sharply at Break that even he'll be able to get the gist of it just by daredeviling out her movements: see? attacking someone in your dream is a totally normal thing to do if you're not a weenie! (Undyne's gestures can convey a lot, okay.)]
I haven't heard of any, but that's...Wrath, Envy and Pride, right? It's not like we're the only teams who've lost people though - you'd think the others would have shown up already.
no subject
That wasn't exactly my concern at the moment, but I guess that's fair enough. Though I doubt Miss Alisha would agree...
[ She's the pure white sheep in the team of black sheep... ]
Ah, but we may not know, right? It could be worth asking. It's not as if keeping this to ourselves has any benefit, does it? That woman didn't say we had to keep this to ourselves.
no subject
Don't do anything that might get you in trouble. [Both in relation to asking and punching dream ghosts...]
...But I do think it's worth looking into, anyway. Yours is the first full team that anything's contacted, right? [Since Gilbert just got picked on randomly and Morrigan was reapered away to the afterlife.]
no subject
I think so? Unless someone on your team's been keeping it under wraps. But unless they were threatened or something, keeping it a secret sounds dumb when these people probably had something to do with why we're here in the first place!
no subject
[ I mean, discussing Plot (?) seems better that discussing why Break and Gilbert need to be sleeping together in his opinion. ]
Who knows! Maybe others have gotten these dreams, but they've only mentioned it amongst their own. I'm sure you'd be able to be quite convincing, at least, since you would threaten to fight them if they were withholding something, I'd guess!
[ Break laughs like this is a joke, but is it really... ]
no subject
We could bring it up early on... If this sort of thing continues to happen, it must have important tie-ins to whatever is going on behind the scenes here, right? I've heard some people have been running into ghosts too, around the schoolhouse and such. If we can't discuss it in trial- [Because let's be real, they need all the time they can get.] -then I think we should host a meeting on Monday morning, before the incentives go up and people start getting distracted again.
no subject
I'm with Gilbert on this one. We can't distract people during a trial and risk letting the killer get away - wasting time on the first day is necessary so we don't waste time on the second! [The first day is to get all the terrible theories she has out of the way okay!!]
no subject
[ But Break doesn't question it, and he instead nods, complete with a flap of his sleeve in their direction, the true sign of acceptance. ]
Ah, a Monday sounds good too! We just need to be sure to drag everyone there, in that case... So perhaps that's a task well suited to you, Undyne? You can beat them up if they refuse! Or put a boulder in front of their door. Either or~.
no subject
[JUST A QUIET WARNING "BREAK" but he knows Undyne will probably jump at the opportunity to gently beat people into submission for a group meeting, god. What's wrong with Team Pride.]
It shouldn't be too difficult to gather people together, anyway. Most of them pass through the kitchen before the motives are announced.
[Where Gilbert lies in wait like some sort of breakfast death trap, only without the death, thankfully.]
no subject
[But then her expression goes thoughtful.] You really think any of this info will help us bust outta here though? All I've gotten so far is that there might be ghosts around - which isn't helpful if they're not gonna bother to stick around and actually do something - and that our teams might have creepy little girl leaders - which we can't do anything about since trying to kill them in our dreams doesn't have any effect.
no subject
[ Is Break even joking about this... It kind of seems like it, but it also seems like he'd genuinely enjoy Undyne manhandling people into submission. It's probably both, honestly. ]
From what we have now? No, I doubt it. Even if we assemble all of these pieces, we may find that there's absolutely nothing to be gained for it. But simply sitting around waiting for another to be tempted into [ sinning ] murder doesn't sit well with me. If there's something to be done, however small, then it's worth pursuing.
