week 5; wednesday afternoon; locked to break and gilbert
[So Undyne's noticed that she hasn't seen a certain member of Team Pride around that much this week! She's not worried of course, but Break is clearly someone who despite being incredibly intelligent also Needs To Be Babysat. Plus his room is right next to hers, so it's no big deal to knock on his door after she's done dropping some stuff off in hers.
And by knock, she of course means kick the door in.]
'SUP, PUNK! Are you dying in there? Stop being a weird hermit and let's hang out!!

I'm with Gilbert on this one. We can't distract people during a trial and risk letting the killer get away - wasting time on the first day is necessary so we don't waste time on the second! [The first day is to get all the terrible theories she has out of the way okay!!]

[ But Break doesn't question it, and he instead nods, complete with a flap of his sleeve in their direction, the true sign of acceptance. ]
Ah, a Monday sounds good too! We just need to be sure to drag everyone there, in that case... So perhaps that's a task well suited to you, Undyne? You can beat them up if they refuse! Or put a boulder in front of their door. Either or~.
no subject
[JUST A QUIET WARNING "BREAK" but he knows Undyne will probably jump at the opportunity to gently beat people into submission for a group meeting, god. What's wrong with Team Pride.]
It shouldn't be too difficult to gather people together, anyway. Most of them pass through the kitchen before the motives are announced.
[Where Gilbert lies in wait like some sort of breakfast death trap, only without the death, thankfully.]

[But then her expression goes thoughtful.] You really think any of this info will help us bust outta here though? All I've gotten so far is that there might be ghosts around - which isn't helpful if they're not gonna bother to stick around and actually do something - and that our teams might have creepy little girl leaders - which we can't do anything about since trying to kill them in our dreams doesn't have any effect.

[ Is Break even joking about this... It kind of seems like it, but it also seems like he'd genuinely enjoy Undyne manhandling people into submission. It's probably both, honestly. ]
From what we have now? No, I doubt it. Even if we assemble all of these pieces, we may find that there's absolutely nothing to be gained for it. But simply sitting around waiting for another to be tempted into [ sinning ] murder doesn't sit well with me. If there's something to be done, however small, then it's worth pursuing.
no subject
[What if she accidentally manhandles an immune or something?? That said--]
I agree with Break. I don't think we'll get far yet, but a start is a start.
no subject
Well, I guess there's nothing we can do for now until we get all the info. [Moving on from Serious Business!] So what do you two nerds do for fun all day anyway? Please don't tell me it's just this. [OLD PEOPLE...]
no subject
...Well, Gilbert makes tea in the afternoon.
[ it's just this ]
no subject
[Except they are... They both came close to Death in their respective trials and little dream demons have it out for them, but hey! At least their bad luck is canon.
He also has no idea that he should totally be ashamed of the fact that they're both Elderly, but he's feeling preemptively judged anyway.]
What's wrong with "just this", anyway?
no subject
...seriously? I mean I know Break has the excuse of being old and sick, but geez Gilbert, you're way too young to be this boring already! Come on, there's gotta be something you're passionate about besides sitting in a room all day wasting your youth! [or shotas...]
no subject
Oh, there is! He's very passionate about looking after Oz. ♥
[ it's creepy ]
no subject
Break... [But on the other hand, he can't argue at all because It's True.] She meant hobbies.
[1) Taking care of Oz is a lifestyle, okay!! But 2) his canon hobby is also "knitting scarves" so, I mean. Here we are.]
no subject
Oh? Who's Oz, your sibling? Boyfriend? [Looking Gilbert up and down and then in an incredibly doubtful tone of voice] ...girlfriend?
no subject
no subject
Wh— No! None of those things! I'm Oz's servant.
[But he says it with the same sort of tone that someone would announce their bff4life with...]
no subject
Though I don't see how that eliminates any of the things I just said! [Especially when Gilbert uses a tone like that...that is not the tone of a professional servant Gilbo]
no subject
We're both servants, you know~. Gilbert is just creepier than I am. ♥
[ so much for not saying it ]
no subject
[He kind of is creepy...]
I've known Oz since we were both young, but it's not anything like what you're probably thinking. [He just automatically assumes Undyne thinks he's dating everyone, basically.]
no subject
[Back to Glibert though! If it's not childhood friend romance which was her automatic assumption since that is clearly a ritual for all human children, then...] Are they older than you are? Wait, they don't try to pressure you into anything do they?! [Break did say it was creepy...] Remember Gilbert, no means no! You don't have to obey all of their orders just because you're a servant!! [PROTECT THE VIRTUE OF HER TEENAGE DAUGHTER]
no subject
Of course I work. I'm a valet, so it's not as if I'm cooking or cleaning. [ Technically those are just Gilbert's hobbies, since they're a little outside of his job description too. ] I protect and look after the young lady of the household, so my duties are different.
[ Also, he works for Pandora. But. That's its own weird thing... ]
no subject
Gilbert is definitely finding this turn-around hilarious, though... He'd be able to enjoy it more if he didn't have to DEFEND POOR OZ'S PURITY.]
Oz is— [...Is and isn't but is older than him?!] ...I've known him since he was older than me. [Why.] But he's... not anymore. —He wouldn't do anything like that, anyway!
[Unless it comes to rolling Gilbert down a hill in a barrel or tying him upside down from a tree...]
no subject
What, did he stop aging or something? I didn't know humans could do that, I thought it was only monsters!
no subject
[ #victorians ]
...But, no, that doesn't matter? I don't drive anything. No valet of a Dukedom would take care of the carriage.
[ A minor household, maybe, but one of the main ones? No way!! But they're totally on different pages here in terms of what "valet" means.
and he won't even try to explain Oz, since he doesn't want to end up explaining more spoilers to Gilbert ]
no subject
As for the question, Gilbert doesn't know all of the spoilers because Break wanted to save the town from him going berserk, basically. Instead, Undyne gets the simplified version! Kinda. A little bit hesitantly though, because even though it's Common Knowledge back home by now, it's still tough to recount.]
...He was lost to the Abyss for ten years, and when we found him again, he hadn't aged a day.
no subject
[And Gilbert just gets a blank stare for his explanation.] What's the abyss? Did he fall down a hole in the mountain? [is Oz the human they found underground let's hope so because all the others that fell down there are super fucking dead]
